Half Greek and half German, grew up on Naxos Island until his 6th year and later on in Landshut, Bavaria. Having finished highschool he absolved a Voluntary Social Year at the Red Cross, getting trained as a paramedic. This year he graduated as a B. Eng. in Mechanical Engineering. Always being involved in sports he found his true passion in Mountainbiking at the age of fourteen. Since then he is member of a Mountainbike Racing Team and participated successfully on competitive athletic level in many races, mainly in Cross Country Discipline, up to the Bavarian League. The past years he absolved his “start of the season” training on Naxos, discovering the island both with the racebike and the mountainbike, just loved it and would be very happy to show you the beauties of his island.

Lydia Spanou

Born in England raised on this lovely Greek island, I am a classic hybrid!

Having spent 3 great years in the UK completing my education and working my way up the racing circuit, I returned to Greece where I am currently studying Pre School Education at the University of Ioannina
My bike took me the length and breadth of the UK. It was beautiful but nothing can compare with this island.
Call me biased but a steep uphill climb here is one of my ultimate pleasures.

Let me show you the amazing views of breathtaking scenery well earnt after a challenging ride. I look forward to introducing you to the mountainous terrain and the quiet villages time has almost forgotten. The other side of this island. Because there’s more to naxos than beaches.

Kostas Gavras

Costas was born and raised in Athens Greece. He graduated an international English-speaking high school, the American School in Switzerland. He studied in London Business Management and Marketing and worked in Athens for a couple of years before making the decision to move permanently to the island of his grandfather where he spent his childhood summer vacations. His love for windsurfing and cycling was crucial in his decision. He is not keen on participating in races even though he took part in a few rather than bicycle touring – bikepacking all over Greece, especially the mountains!!! Costas is passionate about Naxos’s nature, people, tradition, culture, flora, fauna and he would be very glad to show you his favorite island trails!
