This is the old path that until recent times (1950s), was connecting Chora to the upland villages of Naxos and a registered trail, no 11.
The route starts from Kinidaros, known as the village of the Naxian marble quarrymen and its fine musical tradition. After walking through the village following a slightly ascending path, we move southeast along a rural road from where on your right you can see an impressive Naxian marble quarry, named as Mpolimpas. The path continues on a descending stoned paved path that changes back to a rural road.
Reaching at the river banks and the surrounding stoned water mills, an impressive stoned bridge and the Mill of Hadji stand out. After that, a detour leads to the monuments of Agios Artemios church and the Agios Dimitrios Byzantine Complex.
The landscape ahead is dominated by water springs and rich vegetation full of plane trees from where an impressive aqueduct stands out.
The route ends at Eggares where you will have to chance to see the traditional olive mill and the and the coast – wetland of Ammiti.
